William Aaron Turley was the youngest child of Nathan and Mary J. Berry Turley. He was born on August 26th 1876 according to his tombstone, however on the 1880 census he is listed as six months old. Since he left home
at an early age he may have added three years to his age. It is not know exactly where he wandered before he finally setteled in Alabama about 1908. We know that he lived in both in Blount and Morgan Counties Alabama befored he married Emma Allena Berry. Emma is the daughter of Robert Riley and Martha "Mattie" Stark Berry. Will, as he was known in Alabama, and Emma Turley had four children. Melvin Ray Berry died at birth.
