william

William did not own any slaves in 1830
At this time I do not know for sure who this William is.
Thomas Person Berry's brother was born in 1799
and this could be very well be him. William was not in Orange County in the 1850 census.
He is also likely to be the William that bought land from Henry Berry with Thomas Person Berry in 1830.
Since this land was sold in 1833 it is possible that
William and his family may have gone to Alabama with Theodrick and Elizabeth Berry Franklin.
Chesterfield Franklin living next door to William in this census is the father of
Theodrick Franklin who married Hanna Berry's daughter and Thomas Person Berry's half sister Elizabeth Berry in 1832.
