James Berry and Mary were married in North Carolina about 1829. Their first three children were born in North Carolina also. The oldest daughter was born in 1830. The youngest child born in North Carolina was 14 years old in 1850Smith County Tennessee census. The oldest child born in Tennesse was 11 years old in 1850.
This means James and Mary were in North Carolina in 1826 and in Tennessee in 1839.
I have no proof that the James Berry on this page is related to us. FACTS SUPPORTING MY THEORY:

1. Joshua Berry had a son named James




2. James Berry was a witness on deed from Robert Berry to Joshua Berry in 1811




3. James Berry in the 1850 Smith County Tennessee Census was the right age.




4. James Berry and his wife in the 1850 Smith County Tennessee Census were born in North Carolina




5> James and Mary Berry named two of their daughters Nancy and Delila




6. Our James Berry had a mother and a sister named Nancy and another sister named Delilia




7. Our James Berry did not remain in Orange County North Carolina




I think he is related to us but we need to locate a descendant and have a DNA test to verify this.
