MEMBER OF THE ROBERT AND ELIZABETH CATE BERRY FAMILY
SEPTEMBER, 19 2007
ISAAC BERRY was born in Orange County North Carolina cir 1766. This is the same year that his father built their new Fiddleton Plantation Home. Isaac may have been the first of the Berry children to be born in this new home. Apparently Isaac had some mental problems. This becomes evident from the will his father Robert Berry wrote on April 16, 1812. ISAAC'S INHERITANCEIn Roberts will he appointed his son Henry to oversee Isaac's legacy ROBERTS COMPLETE WILL. Henry and his Mother, Elizaeth Cate Berry were appointed co-administrators of Robert Berry's will.
After Robert died Henry did apparently assume the responsibility for Isaac. Isaac always showed up in Henry Berry's census data until he died sometime after 1840. There is not much else known about Isaac because he was never married or found in any official documents. Henry probably lived ten more years after Isaac died. I suppose that since Henry already had control of Isaac's legacy there was no need for a probate of Isaac's property.
